What is Off-Page SEO?
Off-page SEO is basically when the authority of your website has been bolstered by outside sources, giving it credibility and linking it to other sites. Here are some of the ways that off-page SEO can work.
First, backlinking is of utmost importance in this case. The idea of backlinking is to have other websites linking to the information that you have posted. Most of the time, this is nothing that you have direct control over, except in the case of paid link-building. However, if backlinking on poor-quality sites, then you really aren’t doing your website any favors. The more organic growth you have with these links, the more authority Google will believe you have, and the higher you will rank as a result.
A few of the legitimate ways that you can have your website backlinked is by increasing your authority by working with sites from your industry. Guest-blogging and asking them to link to a great article on your site are both great ways to build your own authority, but you’ll usually have to find a tangential business rather than a competitor.
Another thing that you can do for your off-site SEO is having a social media presence that links back to your website. This can be a good way for you to get more exposure, bring more people to your site, and keep building that trustworthiness that will result in your page being considered better than others.

Off-page is a little more difficult because backlinking and gaining authority is not something that you can do quickly. It’s like trust: it’s built over time.
